Stroke of genius:

What at most hotels is a dirty (and lucrative) little secret, Ace Hotels has turned into another opportunity to explore the zeitgeist. The Portland-based chainlet recently announced it has struck a deal with Butt magazine, the pink-papered gay quarterly, to curate 16 homoerotic films for the video-on-demand service at its New York and Palm Springs, Calif., properties. Selected by the Butt staff writer Adam Baran, the video selections will include a range of rare and historic adult movies — some in 3-D! — that are in keeping with the magazine’s mission: to make titillation a cultural experience.
