I had a rad time in Portland. So good to be home. But, 2 days of almost solid travel meant that I only had 3 real days, and one of those I was graduating from Uni! So, if I missed you or our quality time was about a 6 out of 10– lets make it up next time, I'll be back for longer.
Highlights included downing Black & Tans with Michael from A Continuous Lean at the Newark Airport, renewing my license so I could hit the open road, doing that, going to Portland's best new club/bar/space Ascension, eating out, eating in, getting down with friends I don't see often enough..
Unfortunately, my camera broke just after I did the graduate's walk– so please accept this substitute: Beautiful photography of New York 1970s & 80s Grafitti on Subway Cars (via NYTimes)!
& My random iPhone photos:
1. Technology at its finest: My paperless boarding pass– they scanned the image shown on my iPhone.
2. Couple in the airport, funny pose.
3. My niece with my graduation hat & tassel.
4. Ascension from the outside rooftop BBQ & smoking area.
5. Red bushes.
6. Fragrant roses.
7-9. The meal on the Continental trip home– hand modeled by the 82 year old lady sitting next to me. Clearly she was awesome.
