This image of Visvim's FW08/09 Collection encapsulates the best definition I've been able to come up with for the strongest nod men's apparel has made since summer drew to a close. You could see it in footwear even prior. But I feel like its really "where we are at," you might say.
I guess the only thing this list is missing for me is other wool– cashmere, or at least merino, and standard wooly pieces. After receiving the gift of a cashmere scarf last winter, its hasn't left my neck (in cold weather, that is). Reading Robert Polet's style tips sometime in the last few months only drove the interest further. Keep in mind he's always been seen as an outsider to fashion– its his whole thing. I appreciate his simple approach to appreciating style. With regards to wool, I realize that I'm writing about fucking cashmere, but the shit is truly on point. I'm waiting for someone to take it somewhere cool and interesting, and not on some Lucien Pellat Finet shit.
