M65-me
Fall is more or less upon us. Its a bit of a shame given the weak summer vibe experienced in the form of shabby weather the last few months. Compared to my previous experiences, we had perhaps two real weeks of proper NYC summer climate– pathetic!
Regardless, if I can leave things on a high note I will. Fall looks much better, and in the slight introduction of winter wind nothing works better than an M65. I will be breaking mine out of my faux-army issue Ace Hotel Portland rucksack laundry bag from late 2006, which holds all of my cold weather gear. I bought the old jacket from Andy & Bax years ago, maybe i'll finally repair that quarter sized hole in the right hand pocket, or get a lining like the one shown..
What a beautiful silhouette– it is no wonder that its used in designer's patterns year after year.

In other news, I spent the evening spawning inspiration for this post on a couple of cheesy rooftops, with uncomfortably cold winds. 230 5th Ave, and Berry Park. Beautiful views, terrible music, eurotrash, and douchebags. I will say that 230 5th looks like a perfect set for some nasty disco..
